Course Description:

This course is designed to meet the College’s criteria for some kind of literacy. Topics covered in the course include window washing, best ways to win at Grand Theft Auto, the Internet, roller skating and general topics in the art of conversation. This course may or may not be used for credit towards any degree.) 2 hours lecture/lab.

Testing Procedures:

No special arrangements are necessary.

Grading Procedure:

The course is designed so that students can earn up to 1000 points.  Each student will receive a letter grade based on where his or her cumulative point total falls in the following grade scale:

Guidelines for Communications

Email:

If you use email for your class:

 The subject line of any email sent to the instructor should include the student's name and the assignment title (if applicable).

Remember without facial expressions some comments may be taken the wrong way. Be careful in wording your emails. Use of emoticons might be helpful in some cases.

Use standard fonts.

Do not send large attachments without permission.

Special formatting such as centering, audio messages, tables, html, etc. should be avoided unless necessary to complete an assignment or other communication.

Respect the privacy of other class members.
